Precautions for sprocket maintenance
1. The tightness of the sprocket should be adjusted reasonably. Excessive tightness will increase power consumption and cause bearing wear; Too loose will cause the chain wheel to jump and drag chain. How to detect the reasonable tightness level of the sprocket? The middle of the sprocket is lifted or pressed down, about 2% - 3% of the center distance between the two sprockets.
2. The sprocket of the device on the shaft shall not swing or tilt normally. The end faces of two sprockets in the same drive assembly should be in the same plane. When the center distance of the sprockets is less than half a meter, they can be deviated by 1mm; When the center distance of the sprocket is more than half a meter, it can deviate by 2mm. However, there should be no friction on the side of the sprocket teeth. If the deviation between the two wheels is too large, it will easily lead to chain loss or accelerated wear. Pay attention to check and adjust the offset in time when replacing the sprocket.
3. After the sprocket is seriously worn, it is necessary to replace the new sprocket and new chain in time to ensure good engagement. If a component is replaced separately, it is easy to occur that the engagement is not good enough to accelerate the wear of the new chain or sprocket. The adjustable surface can be turned over for use after the wear of the sprocket tooth surface reaches a certain degree to extend the service time.
4. If the new sprocket is too long or stretched during use, which is difficult to adjust, the chain link can be removed according to the actual situation, but the number of chain links removed should be even. The chain link passes through the opposite side of the sprocket, and the locking plate is inserted outside. The direction of the opening of the locking plate should be opposite to the direction of rotation.
5. Smooth oil shall be added in time when the sprocket is working. The smooth oil should enter the fit clearance between the roller and the inner sleeve to improve the working conditions and reduce wear.
6. The old sprocket and the new sprocket can not be mixed locally, which is easy to cause impact in the transmission process and damage the sprocket chain。
7. If the machine is not used for a long time, the sprocket should be removed and cleaned with kerosene or diesel oil, then coated with oil or grease and stored in a dry space.
