Spline shaft is a kind of mechanical transmission component. The keyway on the surface of spline shaft is divided into: flat key, semicircular key and oblique key, which are used to transmit mechanical torque. There is a longitudinal keyway on the outside of the spline shaft, and the rotating part of the spline sleeve on the spline shaft also has a corresponding keyway, which can keep rotating with the shaft synchronously. The specific steps of the machining method of gear shaft keyway are as follows:

Annealing treatment: heat the position of the gear shaf and key t to be processed. The heating temperature is 40 ℃ - 45 ℃ above the hypoeutectoid steel. Put the gear shaft in the air for slow cooling.

Positioning: clamp the annealed gear shaft on the fixture of the milling machine. The intersection points of the gear shaft and both sides of the fixture are point a and point B respectively. The midpoint of the connecting line between point a and point B is point s, point s is the center of the cross section of the gear shaft, and the vertex of the cross section of the gear shaft is point C, so that the connecting line between point s and point C coincides with the axis of the upper milling cutter, that is, the positioning of the milling cutter is completed.
