The pinion gear shaft forging process is a forging process that combines open hollow extrusion and non isothermal forging. A step is used to manufacture the hollow pinion shaft in order to improve the dimensional accuracy of the forged hollow shaft.

Extrusion stage before non isothermal forging in this forging process, the clamping mandrel hollow extrusion is placed in front of the non isothermal forging. In the extrusion operation, the die reduces the outer diameter of the workpiece by a certain length. The inner part of the workpiece is completely supported by the spindle. The spindle moves with the workpiece, and the inner diameter remains unchanged. The subsequent non isothermal forging process also consists of induction heating operation, upsetting operation and conical operation. Induction operation locally heats the workpiece and produces spatially varying flow stress.

The gear shaft is generally used in several cases:

1. The gear shaft is usually a pinion (a gear with fewer teeth).

2. The gear shaft is generally at the high speed stage (i.e. low torque stage).

3. The gear shaft is rarely used as a sliding gear for speed change. It is generally a fixed running gear. First, because it is at a high speed, it is not suitable for sliding speed change.

4. The gear shaft is a combination of shaft and gear.
