1. Gear rack modulus: modulus is related to the thickness of dividing teeth, so it can measure the size of teeth. It is a ratio and a manually set parameter.

a. Gear module: straight rack module M = pitch P / PI T; Module of inclined rack M = pitch P / (pi * trigonometric function CoSb).

b. Rack module: spur gear module M = graduation circle diameter technology do / number of teeth Z; The module of helical gear can be calculated by the formula do = (number of teeth Z * module m) / trigonometric function CoSb.

a. Common modules include 1.5 modules, 2 modules and 3 modules.

b. The larger the modulus, the larger the teeth and the larger the pitch.

c. If the diameter is certain, the smaller the module, the more teeth, the more teeth meshed at the same time (the higher the coincidence coefficient), so the small module is more precise than the large module.

d. Just as the diameter is certain, the smaller the modulus, the more the number of teeth, the smaller the overall dimension of each tooth and the lower the strength. From this point of view, when other conditions are certain, each model has corresponding strength. However, there is no provision on the upper limit of load in practice, because it can be determined whether the load meets the requirements after the gear strength check.
