Material for gear rack 3M: the rack is generally made of C45 (medium carbon steel), 42cr (chromium molybdenum alloy steel) or A3. Generally, the former is used because the cost is relatively low. 

There are two types of straight teeth and oblique teeth. 

Module: the module has 0.5 ~ 15 modules. Among them, the commonly used rack modules are 1.5 module, 2 module and 3 module, followed by 4 module, 5 module and 6 module. 

Length: the length is customized from 100 ~ 3000mm and non-standard length. 

The precision long rack shall be processed on the vertical milling machine with convenient operation. Generally, when processing the precision long rack with modulus less than 6mm, the straight shank finger milling cutter with high efficiency shall be selected. When processing the precision long rack with modulus more than 8mm, due to large modulus, large tooth slot width, large cutting resistance, large cutting heat and high power consumption, In order to prevent the damage of cutting tools and workpieces caused by tool dropping in the milling process, it is necessary to select taper shank finger milling cutter for machining.

In the application of laser cutting machine, the rack and cylindrical gear cooperate with each other, which is generally used for AC servo motor to carry out driving force transmission, so that the laser cutting head can exercise in X, Y, Z directions, and achieve the purpose of laser cutting various shapes of product workpieces.

The helical rack and gear have stronger meshing, stable transmission and low noise. The large overlap reduces the load of each pair of gears and improves the bearing capacity of gears, so it is widely used in the production of laser cutting machines.
