Gear rack dimension:

The main parameters of the rack include tooth slot width, tooth top height, tooth root height, tooth height, tooth thickness, tooth root circle radius and so on.

1. Whether the runout, full tooth depth, common normal line and tooth direction of the gear are qualified, whether the swing error of one tooth and the pitch error exceed the tolerance.

2. Check whether the installation distance is appropriate after the installation of gear and rack.

3. The meshing clearance of rack and gear shall be 0.25 * modulus.

4. Whether the rack has full tooth depth and runout, and whether the common normal line, especially the tooth direction, is consistent.

Rack and gear parameters:

1. Tooth height: the distance from the top of the tooth to the root of the tooth, which is determined by the module.

2. Tooth thickness: the reference of tooth thickness is 1/2 of tooth pitch.

3. Dedendum: the part between the dividing circle and the dedendum circle.

4. Addendum: the part between the indexing circle and the addendum circle.

5. Dedendum height: the distance from dedendum to indexing line.

6. Addendum height: the distance from the addendum to the indexing line.

7. Root circle radius: the minimum radius of curvature of the root transition surface.

8. Tooth slot width: the distance between the concave parts of two adjacent teeth, which can be divided into end slot width and normal slot width.

9. Pressure angle: the inclination of gear tooth surface.
