Considering the working pressure of 4SP 4SH hose can reach around 6000PSI, 4SH 4SP ferrule has also been required to stand higher pressure, so the thickness of 4SH 4SP ferrule is much higher than 2SN ferrule, their inside teeth is also very strong to bite into the steel wire of spiral hose.

Before we crimp the ferrules, we have to choose suitable crimping mold according to specific hose sizes, and then refer to detailed crimping data to proceed trial crimping, firstly adjust the diameter of the crimping die with an empty stroke and then gradually adjust the diameter when the crimping die is closed, and then carry out a trial crimping.

Pay attention to the insert depth marks and make sure it coincides with the inner edge of the ferrule, and the step groove of the ferrule coincides with the groove of the fitting core ring. We also have to inspect whether the barb side of the fittings are deformed, or if there is any crimping strokes, and adjust the crimping parameter to make the crimping perfect.

After the crimping, we also have to proceed pressure testings, the testing pressure will be double the working pressure as required, and keep this pressure still for 120 seconds to 300 seconds, and there is no any leakage occurred, no damage of the hose kit.
