Features and application of geneva mechanism

1. Cam mechanism: the cam mechanism is the simplest to realize intermittent movement. As long as a certain part of the cam is designed as a circle, the radius of the cam does not change, and the ejector pin does not move, that is, there is no action.

2. Planar linkage mechanism: the intermittent motion of planar linkage mechanism is mainly achieved by enlarging the reaming hole of a certain linkage to make it a long hole, which makes a part of the motion invalid and causes intermittent motion.

3. Incomplete gear: that is, if a gear without full circumference is used as the driving gear, a section of arc without teeth will not drive the driven gear to rotate, but will realize intermittent movement.

4. Grooved pulley mechanism: consisting of a grooved sheave and a mechanism with round pins. When the round pin is inserted into the groove of the sheave, it drives the sheave to rotate. When the round pin leaves the groove, the sheave stops rotating.

5. Ratchet movement: the bc rod moves to the left, the pawl 4 pushes, and the ratchet rotates. When the bc lever moves to the right, the pawl slides, and the pawl 6 prevents the ratchet 5 from rotating
