The installation of worm drive requires high precision. The middle plane of worm gear should pass through the axis of worm.

In order to ensure the correct engagement of the transmission, the middle plane of the worm gear is not allowed to move axially during operation, so the worm gear shaft support should be fixed at both ends.

The maintenance of worm drive is very important, and pay attention to the surrounding ventilation and heat dissipation.

Design criteria: design according to the contact fatigue strength of tooth surface, check the bending fatigue strength of tooth root, and calculate the heat balance and worm stiffness.

The worm gear assembly is as follows:

1. Fix the bearings at both ends of the turbine and install the oil seal.

2. Put the turbine into the lower housing.

3. Cover the upper box, apply sealant or add sealing gasket between the box interfaces, and fix the box nuts. When pressing the box, check whether the turbine is offset, and the offset must be adjusted.

4. Do not press the end cover of the turbine.

5. Pay attention to the strength when threading the worm into the worm hole, otherwise the worm will be scratched, and the bearing and oil seal of the worm will be installed.

6. The end cap of the end cap that holds the turbine shall also be sealed, and the end cap that holds the worm shall be sealed. Turn the worm by hand to see whether it can rotate and whether it is too tight. If it is too tight, adjust the tightness of the end cap until it is tightened.

There are two options for the single thread worm assembly: bronze or cast iron. 932 bronze is used for the bronze gear. Without the sleeve installed, both gears have 2.875-inch bores. Their hub depths are 2 inches. 96 tooth gears are named after the number of teeth they have in the thread. The gear measures 12 3/4 inches wide by 12 3/4 inches high.
