3M circular arc tooth: it can meet the high-power transmission, and its transmission power is 3-5 times higher than that of ladder T tooth. Therefore, it is suitable for the transmission environment of high power, low speed and high torque.

Synchronous belt drive is a new type of mechanical drive. Due to the meshing transmission, there is no relative sliding between the belt and the pulley, so the transmission between the master and slave wheels is synchronous. The timing belt is made of different materials. The power and use of production are also different. The flat belt has good elasticity and can work on small pulleys, but has good adaptability to variable load, but the transmission ratio is small and easy to relax.

Problems needing attention when using 3M timing belt

(1) The service life and tooth profile accuracy of the pulley have an important impact on synchronous belt transmission. If the service life is exceeded, the tooth profile changes, and the belt teeth and pulley teeth cannot mesh correctly, the synchronous toothed belt will fail in a short time.

(2) In the synchronous toothed belt drive, 3M timing belt pulley, in order to avoid the synchronous belt slipping from one side of the pulley, the pulley must have a stop plate, which should be 1 ~ 2mm higher than the back of the belt and have an inclination of about 5 °.

(3) The material and tooth surface hardness of the pulley have an important impact on the transmission quality. The common failure form of belt pulley is tooth surface wear and pitting corrosion, so the belt tooth surface should have sufficient wear resistance and contact strength. The research shows that the rubber synchronous belt and the general pulley material can be medium carbon steel or medium carbon alloy structural steel, such as 45 steel, 40Cr steel, 35si Mn steel, etc., which are normalized or quenched and tempered to make the tooth surface hardness of 200 ~ 260hbs. High strength, surface hardness and good toughness can meet the actual needs of the project. Due to the moderate hardness, the tooth profile can be accurately cut after heat treatment.
