A high-precision taper lock sprocket includes a sprocket body, sprocket spokes and sprocket teeth. The shaft length of the sprocket body is greater than the thickness of the sprocket spokes. The sprocket spokes are flush with one side of the sprocket body. The center of the sprocket body is provided with a central hole. The central hole is a combination structure of a column hole and a double taper hole. The two taper holes are located on both sides of the column hole. The taper of the two taper holes is the same, and the diameter of the small diameter end of the taper hole is the same as the diameter of the column hole; The inner wall of the central hole is provided with two screw holes and a blind hole. The axis of the two screw holes is parallel to the axis of the central hole, and the axis of the blind hole is parallel to the axis of the central hole.

It differs from gears in that Taper Lock Sprockets never mesh directly with each other, and from pulleys in that sprockets have teeth and pulleys are smooth, except for toothed pulleys used with toothed belts.
Sprockets are used on bicycles, motorcycles, tracked vehicles and other machines to transfer rotational motion between two shafts where gears will not fit, or to transfer linear motion to tracks, tapes, etc.
