Sprocket B Hub

There are two main methods for machining sprocket B hub:

Overall processing, that is, cutting the bar stock, and then processing the tooth profile. This method has low material utilization rate and high cost. The other is welding processing, which is characterized by high material utilization rate and low cost.

The specific processing method for sprocket B hub is: the outer diameter and shaft hole of the gear ring can be cut with steel plate after rough processing, and the welding groove is left on the side of the shaft hole. Then, the flange part of the bar lathe is formed into a convex shape, the gear ring part and the flange part are combined, and the finished product is welded on both sides, and the welding part is turned into an arc. After processing, select the appropriate tooth profile processing method.

Sprocket B hub is a wheel with cogged chain teeth used to mesh with a block with accurate pitch on a link or cable. Both sides of the tooth shape of the sprocket shaft surface are in a circular arc shape to facilitate the entry and exit of the chain link.  

The sprocket teeth shall have sufficient contact strength and wear resistance, so the tooth surface is subject to heat treatment. The meshing times of small sprocket is more than that of large sprocket, and the impact force is also large, so the material used should generally be better than that of large sprocket. Common sprocket materials include carbon steel (such as Q235, Q275, 45, ZG310-570, etc.), gray cast iron (such as HT200), etc. Important sprockets can be made of alloy steel.  

Small diameter sprockets can be made into solid type, medium diameter sprockets can be made into orifice plate, and large diameter sprockets can be designed into combined type. If the teeth fail due to wear, the ring gear can be replaced. The dimensions of the hub part of the sprocket can refer to the pulley.
