The taper sleeve is mainly divided into TB taper sleeve, QD taper sleeve and STB taper sleeve. The holes at the matching place of the taper sleeve and the belt pulley are half sided, and the two smooth holes on the taper sleeve and the two threaded holes on the belt pulley form a complete hole respectively. A threaded hole on the taper sleeve and a smooth hole on the belt pulley form a complete hole.
During assembly, two screws are placed in two threaded holes of the belt pulley. As the screws are tightened continuously in the threaded holes of the belt pulley, the screw action pushes the screws to the small end of the taper hole on the belt pulley, while the two smooth holes on the taper sleeve are not completely machined through. In this way, when the head of the screw is against the bottom of the smooth hole, the force is transmitted to the taper sleeve, and the taper sleeve moves relative to the belt pulley towards the small end of the taper hole of the belt pulley, At this time, because of the taper, the taper sleeve will constantly wrap the shaft, and the shaft will react on the taper sleeve and then on the belt pulley.
In this way, the pulley, split taper bushing and shaft are tightly assembled together.
