Performance advantages of pinion helical gears

1. Good meshing performance

In the practical application process of helical gears, we can find that the meshing performance of the product is quite ideal, because the whole product itself is engaged between gears, which is a transitional process, and the forces on the gears will gradually increase from small to large, and then from large to small. Helical gears are usually used in some high-speed and heavy load working conditions.

2. High coincidence

The increase of the coincidence degree will improve the bearing capacity of the gear, thus extending the service life of the gear. The contact ratio mainly depends on the meshing time. The constant meshing time and large contact area of helical gears reduce the stress, make the transmission more stable and increase the economy.

3. Compact structure

Helical gear has a compact structure, and the smaller gear rat can basically bring about a relatively ideal deceleration effect.

Axial component force is harmful to gear transmission. It increases the friction between devices and makes the device easy to wear or damage. The disadvantage of helical gears is that the axial component force will be generated when the gears mesh. The axial force is caused by the helix angle. The larger the helix angle, the greater the axial force. In order not to generate excessive axial force on helical gear, it is generally taken as = 8 ~ 15 in design. 

Herringbone gear can reduce the influence of axial component force, but the manufacturing of herringbone gear is more troublesome. Uneconomical.

Pinion helical gear transmission is composed of two helical gears meshing. 

Purpose of helical gear: transfer the movement between two staggered shafts in space.
