In fact, double pitch chain is a light chain derived from standard short pitch precision roller chain.

Some chains of the same model have double pitch models. Take 40 as an example.

40 When the chain pitch is 12.7mm, the pitch becomes 25.4mm, just twice.

Single pitch chains are more suitable for driving and double pitch chains are more suitable for conveying.

When 40 is compared with C2040, the inner pitch width of the chain segment roller is the same, that is, the pitch is different. At this time, the chain wheels can be shared. The 40 double pitch is divided into C2040 and C2042. 2042 is a large roller, which allows the roller to run directly on the track, saving more effort. Disadvantages The sprocket must be changed.

There are dozens of heavy national standard chain conveyors with double pitch conveying chains, but they are generally designed by heavy chain conveyor factories according to the actual application of mines, which can increase the diameter and length.

Double pitch sprocket refers to doubling the pitch of standard chain, but other parameters are the same. Therefore, even if the universal standard 40 chain is used, it can also be shared, but there are also double pitch sprockets to choose from.
