1. The tightness of the sprocket should be adjusted reasonably. Too tight will increase power consumption and cause bearing wear; Too loose will cause the sprocket to jump and drag the chain. How to detect the reasonable tightness level of the sprocket? Lift or press down the middle of the sprocket, which is about 2% - 3% of the center distance between the two sprockets.
2. The sprocket installed on the shaft shall not swing or tilt normally. The end faces of two sprockets in the same transmission assembly should be in the same plane. When the center distance of sprockets is less than half a meter, it can be biased to 1mm; When the center distance of sprocket is more than half a meter, it can be biased to 2mm. However, there should be no friction on the side of the sprocket. If the deviation between the two wheels is too large, it will easily lead to chain disengagement or accelerated wear. When changing the sprocket, pay attention to check and adjust the offset in time.
3. After serious wear of the sprocket, it is necessary to replace the new sprocket and chain in time to ensure good engagement. If a component is replaced separately, it is easy to have poor engagement and accelerate the wear of the new chain or sprocket. When the wear of the tooth surface of the adjustable face sprocket reaches a certain degree, it can be turned over for use to prolong the service time.
4. In case that the new sprocket is too long or stretched during use, which is difficult to adjust, the chain link can be removed according to the actual situation, but it should be noted that the number of removed chain links should be even. The chain link passes through the reverse side of the sprocket, and the locking plate is inserted outside. The direction of the opening of the locking plate should be opposite to the direction of rotation.
5. When the sprocket is working, add smooth oil in time. The smooth oil should enter the fit gap between the roller and the inner sleeve, so as to improve the working conditions and reduce wear.
6. The old sprocket and the new sprocket cannot be mixed locally, which is easy to cause impact in the transmission process and damage to the sprocket chain;
7. If the machine is not used for a long time, the sprocket should be removed and cleaned with kerosene or diesel oil, then coated with engine oil or butter and stored in a dry space.
