Gears are generally divided into three categorie

There are many kinds of gears, and the most common classification method is based on the characteristics of gear shafts. It is generally divided into three types: parallel axis, intersecting axis and staggered axis.


1.Parallel shaft gear: including spur gear, helical gear, internal gear, rack and helical rack, etc.

Parallel shaft gears are two gears that are placed parallel to one another and driven by a single motor or power source. These gears rotate in opposite directions, and can be used to transfer rotary motion from one shaft to another. These gears are common in applications that require a high level of power transfer, such as wind turbines and high-speed applications. They are also often used in differential drives, and can be used to reduce the speed of a drive while simultaneously increasing its torque.


2. Intersecting shaft gears: spur bevel gears, spiral bevel gears, zero tooth bevel gears, etc.

Intersecting shaft gears are two sets of gears that intersect at a 90-degree angle and allow for two separate shafts to be linked together to transmit power from one shaft to the other. They are usually used as a way to transfer power from a driven shaft perpendicular to a parallel driving shaft.


3.Cross shaft gears: there are cross shaft helical gears, worm gears, hypoid gears, etc.

Cross shaft gears are generally gear-shaped components with teeth located at each end and are used to transfer power from one shaft to another that is oriented at a right angle to it. They are useful for transmitting force or motion between two shafts that are not aligned.
