1. Flat belt. The cross-sectional shape of the flat belt is rectangular, and the working surface is the inner surface. It is mainly used for long-distance transmission with two parallel axes and the same direction.
2. V-belt. The cross section of V-belt is trapezoid, the working surface is two sides, and the cross section of pulley groove is trapezoid. Under the condition of the same tension and the same friction coefficient, the friction force generated by V-belt is larger than that of flat belt. Therefore, V-belt has strong transmission capacity, more compact structure and is most widely used in mechanical transmission.
3. Multi wedge belt. Multi wedge belt is a flat belt with several longitudinal wedge-shaped protrusions on the base. It has the advantages of flat belt and V belt and makes up for its disadvantages. It is mainly used in compact high-power transmission.
4. Round belt. The cross-sectional shape of the circular belt is circular. It is only used for low-speed and low-power transmission such as sewing machines and instruments.
5. Timing belt. The synchronous toothed belt is the meshing type transmission belt. The inner circumference of the synchronous belt has teeth of a certain shape.
