These are two different processing technologies for V-belts. Cloth covered V-belts have one or several layers of fabric on the surface of V-belts, which is called cloth covered for short. They are vulcanized after the V-belts are formed.
The processing of chamfered V-belt is similar to that of synchronous belt. First, one belt is made, then it is cut into one strip, and then it is put into the mold of steel grinding wheel for grinding. Some manufacturers use another knife cutting process.
When the V-belt sheave is bent, the layer whose length and width remain unchanged is called the neutral layer. Under the specified tension, the perimeter measured along the neutral layer of the V-belt is called the reference length LD, also known as the nominal length. It is mainly used to calculate the geometric dimensions of belt drives and mark three skin angle belts. Its length has been standardized.
The narrow V-shaped belt is composed of an extension layer, a strength layer, a compression layer and a covering layer. The stretching layer bears stretching tension. The strong layer bears all the load of the transmission. The compression layer bears the extension during compression and turnover. The blanket is a protective layer that can prevent damage due to friction.
It can be made by vulcanizing the rubber and fabric after forming. The materials used for the strength layer include strong man-made fiber, polyamide fiber, polyester fiber, glass fiber, carbon fiber, steel wire, etc
