Classification and application characteristics of cone sleeve

Taper sleeve is a very common mechanical transmission connector. The taper sleeve can be widely used with the connection between pulley, sprocket, gear and shaft. The taper sleeve can bring the advantages of high centering accuracy, compact structure, convenient installation and so on.




The cone sleeve is connected through the compression of the cone surface, so that the clamping force is generated between the inner surface of the cone sleeve and the shaft, and between the outer surface and the hub of the connecting part. The connection between the machine part and the shaft is realized by the combination pressure between the cone sleeve and the machine part (sometimes there is a keyway on the cone sleeve) and the generated friction force. At present, the common cone sleeve is divided into two types: the cone sleeve for transmission parts and the cone sleeve for structural parts.

The taper of taper sleeve for cone transmission parts is generally greater than 1:20. It is widely used in transmission structures, such as gears, pulleys, sprockets, synchronous pulleys, etc. in practical applications, it often needs to be removed frequently, such as installing and replacing gears. The taper sleeve for structural parts refers to the taper sleeve in the structure that is not directly used in belt transmission, chain transmission and gear transmission, but also transmits power. The taper of taper sleeve for structural parts is generally no more than 1:20, which is used in structures with high centering accuracy and generally do not need to be disassembled in use.




Features of cone sleeve for belt pulley:




① The centering accuracy is high and the rotation accuracy is improved.


② The parts can easily move on the shaft before locking and positioning. After locking, it is equivalent to interference fit.


③ The load is evenly distributed, there is no need for shaft shoulder positioning, and it is not easy to jump axially.


④ Easy assembly, disassembly and replacement, and reduce maintenance costs.


⑤ Compact structure, can connect non weldable materials, such as the connection with aluminum parts.


⑥ Part of the cone sleeve has realized standardized production and low cost.
