How the Automobile Synchronous Belt Works

In order to ensure the strict synchronization between the camshaft and the crankshaft when rotating, the automobile synchronous belt will also have gear teeth on it, while the automobile synchronous belt wheel will have corresponding grooves.

Each time, the belt tooth on the automobile synchronous belt will fall into the groove of the automobile synchronous belt pulley, so that the movement of the automobile synchronous belt will not slip like the flat belt or the multi wedge belt. Therefore, we can also call automobile timing belt.

Since the belt tooth on the automobile synchronous belt and the groove on the automobile synchronous belt pulley are in a corresponding relationship when rotating, which is somewhat similar to the meshing transmission of gears, the transmission mode of automobile synchronous belt belongs to the meshing transmission.

Automobile synchronous belt function

The rubber belt car can play a connecting role. The upper part is the timing pulley connected to the engine cylinder head. The lower part is connected with the crankshaft timing pulley, and the automobile timing pulley is connected with the camshaft. When the concave part of the camshaft contacts the small rocker arm at the same time, both the inlet valve and the exhaust valve are closed. As a result of the compression ratio, the distributor will carry out the fire, and the internal combustion will start to generate power.
